4.2 Quake Rattles Mexicali

An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the open ended Richter Scale shook Mexicali , Mexico Saturday afternoon. The temblor was centered near Guadalupe Victoria, Baja California just south of Mexicali. There were no reports of damage from the quake that occurred at 3:01:42 PM Pacific Daylight Time. The area was the center of a swarm of earthquakes that rattled nerves over a two week period in February of this year. One of the stronger quakes , measuring 5.4 , occurred shortly after 11:00 PM on Friday February 8, 2008.
