People leave their cars unlocked and thieves take things from the vehicles.

Two more reports of thefts from unlocked vehicles were reported Friday in El Centro. A drivers license and credit and debit cards were taken from a car parked on South 8th Street. An unlocked car parked on North 6th Street was targeted and Versace glasses and a Nintendo Switch were taken. Value of the loss estimated at $850.00.

A car parked in the 1400 bloc of Main Street was burglarized when some one broke a window in the vehicle and took a purse containing a drivers license, cell phone, credit cards and other items. The items were valued at approximately $1,300.
