(ICOE is hosting the 19th annual Imperial County Spelling Bee).....The Imperial County Spelling Bee is an affiliate of the Scripps National Spelling Bee.

The Imperial County Office of Education says each school in the County held their own spelling bee. The top two performers from each school will move on to the County Spelling Bee. The 2024 Imperial County Spelling Bee will be held Thursday March 21st at the Jimmie Cannon Theater at Southwest High School in El Centro. The competition will run from 6-8 pm. The champion of the County Bee will compete in Washington D.C., representing Imperial County. Event live streaming will be available.
