(Many in the County were woke up by an alarm).....It was an earthquake warning.

It said a magnitude 5.3 earthquake was possible. The warning came at 12:36 Monday morning. Seconds later an earthquake hit between El Centro and Imperial. It was a magnitude 4.8. There have been aftershocks ever since. The largest aftershock was a magnitude 4.5. At 6:15 Monday morning a magnitude 3.5 aftershock was recorded. Since then several microquakes have been recorded. A Microquake is a small earthquake, magnitude 2.9 and below. Most microquakes are not felt. There is no way of knowing how long the aftershocks will continue.
