The Imperial Valley needs baseball and softball umpires.

There is a serious shortage of men and women who want to umpire high school sports. It's a situation that is not only affecting baseball and softball but all sports. The lack of high school sports officials is apparent nationwide, not just the Imperial Valley. The Imperial Valley Umpires Association is recruiting men and women who want to work local high school baseball and/or softball games. No experience is needed as the Association does provide training and guidance. Officials are compensated. Anyone interested is invited to attend the IVUA meeting on Monday, January 22, 2024, at 5:15 p.m. The meeting will be in trailer 5, near the swimming pool, on the campus of Central Union High School.
