A 13-year-old El Centro teen died Tuesday afternoon when his ORV overturned.

The young man was driving eastbound on a dirt lot off Old Highway 111 just south of Even Hewes Highway. The driver apparently turned the 2018 Can Am sharply to the left which caused it to overturn, ejecting the driver. The youth succumbed to his injuries at the scene. A 14-year-old boy that was a passenger in the Can Am was not injured. The crash remains under investigation.
