Two men are in custody after they returned to the scene of their crime.

The pair were spotted in the food court of the Imperial Valley Mall late Tuesday afternoon. An alert security guard recognized the two as suspects in a robbery that occurred last week in the parking lot of the mall. A gold chain was taken from one victim and a second victim was assaulted. El Centro police were able to detain the suspects, a 20-year-old and a 22-year-old. The pair were booked at Imperial County Jail on charges of Armed Robbery and Assault and Battery.
