The Water Conservation Advisory Board made the request of the Imperial Irrigation District Board. They said the federal grants could bring in around $2 million per year, to be used to help pay for various water conservation projects. Many of the projects would different irrigation methods. The Board Tuesday agreed to the request, after they were assured the IID would not be liable for the grants by helping to write the proposals.
