(There are now 31 more kids ready for school)….All thanks to Target, The Salvation Army and the Kiwanis Club.
The kids were taken shopping for school clothes Wednesday morning. Not only that, but they were accompanied by a police officer, a kiwanian or a Salvation Army volunteer. One lucky shopper was accompanied by Salvation Army Captain Jerry Esqueda himself. The kids will not only start the school year in new clothes, but they will also have brand new Backpacks. Each child was presented a new Backpack full of school supplies. When they were done shopping, the kids and their escorts were treated to breakfast by Target. Elementary school starts August 26th in most areas, and these kids will be ready.
