(California Mid-Winter Fair and Fiesta starts Friday)….The Fair will run ten days.
The theme this year is Now Playing and there will be several displays using the theme, in conjunction with the Imperial County Film Commission. Many of the displays will high light films made in the Imperial Valley. Grand Stand entertainment will feature two paid events this year. The first will be Los Cuates de Sinaloa and Selena Tribute Sunday March 2nd. The second will be the Sprint Car Races on Saturday March 8th. A separate ticket will be required for both of those events. All other Grandstand entertainment is free with Fair admission. This Friday’s Opening Day will also be Military Appreciation Day. All Military, active duty, retired reservists, Veterans and one guest will be admitted free. It will also be Senior Day. All Senior Citizens will be admitted free with a coupon. Opening Ceremonies will be at 12:00 noon Friday and the Fair will be open until 11:00 pm. Hours throughout the 10 day run will be 12:00 noon to 11:00 pm on the weekends, and 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm Monday through Friday.
