Precautions to survive the heat

(It is going to be a hot weekend)….The National Weather Service says temperatures could hit 110.

Imperial County Public Health says residents should take precautions. For seniors and others, cool centers are being opened this weekend. Cool Centers are Libraries, Senior Centers, Recreation areas, Clinicas De Salud, Salvation Army, Civic Centers, Community Centers, IV Expo, IV Mall and other area your local city hall for the Cool Center in your area. Public Health says everybody should dress in lightweight, loose fitting clothes, Drink Plenty of different fluids including water, fruit juice and sports drinks, They recommend you check on neighbors, especially seniors and handicapped people living alone, Keep physical activity to a minimum on the hottest days, stay indoors and out of the sun as much as possible, take cool showers and avoid hot foods and hot meals.
