(You may soon not be asked Paper or Plastic anymore)….Currently, a handful of communities in the state have band the use of plastic bags.
The law may soon be implemented statewide. That will be the case if the Senate approves SB 405. They are currently considering the bill, which would ban the use of plastic bags at stores around the state. Backers of the bill say plastic bags have turned into an environmental disaster. They do not decompose very fast, and they are being thrown in the ocean, creating a serious hazard to sea life. If passed, the bags would be phased out of use across the state.
