County Honors Freeman

(The County honors Royce Freeman)….A resolution was adopted and presented to the star athlete.

During the Tuesday meeting, the County Board of Supervisors mention the more than 20 honors presented to the running back. The last of which was the naming of Freeman as the Cal High Sports Player of the Year for Moderate High Schools. The Supervisors not only applauded Freeman’s athletic achievements, but also his humility as a person and fantastic grades as a senior at Imperial High School. Tigers Coach Kerry Legarra choked up in describing his now former running. Freeman said the lessons learned at Imperial High School would be carried with him throughout his carrier. He said they were more important than all the numbers and stats. He thanked the Supervisors for the resolution, and he thanked the rest of his teammates for a successful High School carrier. He has committed to attend Oregon University next year, where he will play for the Ducks.
