(County to honor Champions)….The County Board of Supervisors will present them with a Proclamation Tuesday.
The Holtville Vikings varsity football team defeated Crawford in San Diego recently to become the CIF-San Diego Division 5 Champions. The team received the Championship Trophy last Monday, as well as a key to the City of Holtville. Also Tuesday, the Supervisors will discuss a Memorandum of Understanding with the City of El Centro for a Site Remediation Project. The Public Works Department will also ask the Board to approve related actions, as well. Robin Hodgkin, Director of the Public Health Department, will ask the Supervisors to re-appoint the Independent Hearing Panel members for the Local Enforcement Agency. The Board will discuss the Senior Nutrition Program funding, and they will set the County’s Holiday schedule. It is expected the Board will authorize half days on December 24th and 31st for non-critical departments. All County Departments, except for emergency service departments, are expected to be closed Christmas and New Years Day. The Board convenes their meeting at 8:30 Tuesday morning at the Administration Center on Main Street in El Centro.
