(Quarterly Water Forum scheduled for November)…The Imperial Valley Quarterly Water Forum will be held on the 14th.
It is being put on by the Imperial Valley Economic Development Corporation, and is sponsored by the Imperial Irrigation District. It will be held at the Barbara Worth Resort and Country Club. Pre-registration is available by contacting the IVEDC. Open registration will begin at 9:00 am on the day of the Forum. The Program includes a panel discussion highlighting on-farm conservation, lessens learned. They will discuss water shortages and how other regions are responding. Speakers include Jason Peltier, Chief Deputy General Manager of the Westlands Water District and Mike Wade, Executive Director of the California Farm Water Coalition. A continental breakfast will be available at 9:00 am. Lunch will be provided. The Forum is expected to adjourn at 1:00 pm.
