CBP officers busy over the weekend

(It was a busy weekend for Customs and Border Protection)….They seized $1.1 million in narcotics and arrested 18 fugitives.

That includes one wanted for homicide. The seizures and arrests were made at the six Ports of Entry in the San Diego Field office. The nine narcotic smuggling attempts included marijuana, methamphetamine and heroin. The CBP says the drugs were hidden in various areas of the vehicles, such as gas tanks, quarter panels and the seats. The 18 arrested were wanted for various felony warrants, including larceny, burglary, fraud, dangerous drugs, parole violations, and the one for homicide.
