(The Blue Angels will be flying in 2014)…The Pentagon has approved financing for the Naviy's Ace Flight demonstration team.
Funding was also approved the Air Force Thunderbirds, as well. The funding was approved, with a 45% cut in the public outreach budget. That cut is expected to save $104 million, but it will allow for a full schedule of flight demonstrations next year. That means the Blue Angels will arrive at the Naval Air Facility, El Centro in January. Train for 3 months, and perform in their first show of their season in March. The Blue Angels season was cut short earlier this year because of federal budget cuts, known as sequestration.
