March against Domestic Violence

(12th Annual March Against Domestic Violence)…It will be this Wednesday.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The March is to remember victims, celebrate survivors, and stand as a community to end the violence. Womanhaven/Center for Family Solutions present the traditional March. The public is invited to gather at 5:15 Wednesday evening at the steps of the Courthouse in El Centro. They will hear testimonials by survivors of domestic violence and join the processional March, and stand together as a community against domestic violence. The March leaves the Courthouse, proceeds down Main Street, ending at the Town Square, 7th and Main in El Centro. At the Town Square there will be resource tables providing information on domestic violence. Entertainment will be provided by the Central Union High School Marching Band. There will be free t-shirts, while supplies last, as well as free popcorn and hot dogs to attendees.
