Excessive heat warning

(Heat Warning intensifies)….The National Weather Service issued the Excessi9ve Heat Warning.

It is in effect through Saturday. The Weather Services says temperatures are expected to hit 117 degrees or higher this afternoon and Saturday. They say sensitive groups could experience heat-related illness. Residents are advised to keep an eye on the elderly, small children. Pets should also be kept hydrated and in a shady location, if not inside the house. Imperial County has 28 Cool Centers for residents that need a cool place to stay during the hottest hours of the day. For a list of Cool Centers go to the Public Health Department website,
