Leaving children in a hot car could be deadly

(The Dangers of Heat Stroke)….That will be the topic Friday.

Local Public Health and Law Enforcement agencies will be sharing the information at the El Centro Fire Station 3 at 9:00 am. Speakers include El Centro Battalion Chief Cedric Cesena, California Highway Patrol Public Information Officer German Lazarin, and Christopher Herring, manager with the Emergency Medical Services Agency at the Public Health Department. With summer temperatures rapidly approaching, officials want parents to understand Children are at a higher risk than adults of dying from heat stroke in a hot vehicle, especially when they are too young to communicate. The officials will be sharing information on ways to prevent heat related injuries to children.
