(Homicide investigation continues)…There are still more questions than answers.

El Centro Police Commander Aaron Reel says they still do not know the identity of the victim. He says they are still asking for public assistance. The victim was found in a trash container Tuesday morning. The fire department had responded to a report of a trash container on fire near the railroad tracks in the 900 block of South 2nd Street. When the fire was extinguished, fire fighters found a burnt body inside the container. They called the police. Commander Reel says the victim was a male, but that is all they know about him. Reel said they have obtained a video of a person pulling a blue recyclable trash container. That person was described as wearing white pants and a black hoodie. The Commander said anyone with any information on the incident should call Detective Jeff Malcom at 760=335-4525.
