(Body found in a canal)….It was discovered at just after 7:00 Friday Morning.
The contracted tree trimmers with the Imperial Irrigation District found the body. The Trimmers were driving along the bank of the West Side Main Canal when they spotted the body in the water. Deputy Coroner Rodolfo Barron says the body was pulled from the water. He said the victim was a male, between 20 and 40 years of age. Barron said the body had been in the water for some time. He said no identification was found on the body. The Deputy Coroner said he would be working with the Mexican consulate in Calexico to try and identify the man. Barron said an autopsy is pending to attempt to determine a cause of death.
