(It is going to be a first for Holtville)…A Veteran’s Day Parade.
The City of Holtville and the American Legion and Auxiliary Bradley Keffer Post 138 are co-hosting the event on Veteran’s Day, November 11th. The official name is the County of Imperial Veterans Day Parade. It will begin at 10:00 am. The parade route starts at Walnut and Fifth Streets, travels west on Fifth Street, turning right, or north, on Pine Avenue, where it ends at Holt Park. Food Vendors and music will be set up in the Park. Trekking for the Troops, a half marathon walk coordinated by Sandie Noel, will end its trek at the end of the parade. There will be a presentation by State Senator Ben Hueso and other guest speakers at the park. Applications to participate in the First Annual Veteran’s Day Parade in Holtville are available from the City of Holtville. The deadline to reserve a spot in the parade is October 18th.
