| Carrot Festival wraps up this weekend |

(Final weekend of Carrot Festival)…The 65th Holtville Carrot Festival’s busiest day is Saturday. The day begins at 7:00 am with the Carrot Festival Mile and 5 k Races. At 9:00 am the Arts and Crafts Fair starts and will continue throughout the day. At 10:00 am the Carrot Festival Parade starts its march down 5th Street. The parade route is west on 5th, from Maple to Cedar. At 11:00 am the Student Art Show at the Civic Center opens and will continue all day. At around 1:00 in the afternoon Parade Trophies will be presented at the Gazebo. From noon to 4:00 pm there will be and Antique Tractor and Car Show on Holt Avenue. Carrot Festival Mi-Way Carnival opens at noon at Holt and 6th. And from 1:00 to 4:00 pm there will be entertainment at the Gazebo. Sunday this year’s Carrot Festival wraps up with Dia de la Familia Cook-off competition. It starts at 11:00 am and will continue until the food runs out. At 9:00 am the Arts and Crafts Fair opens in Holt Park and Pine Avenue. It will continue until dusk. Entertainment at the Gazebo starts at 9:00 am. The Mid-Way Carnival starts at 11:00 am Sunday.
