US suspect arrested in Mexicali

(US gang member arrested in Mexicali)…25 year old Robert Anthony Rios Lopez was arrested this week and deported.

 State Preventive Police International Liaison Alfredo Arenas said his department had been notified by US Marshall’s. The suspect is wanted in the rape and murder of a minor. Arenas said Rios Lopez was found with a minor, who reportedly was helping him hide from authorities. Following the arrest, the gang member was turned over to US Marshall’s. Arenas said the police understand how dangerous this type of criminal can be. He said that is why they have stepped up their cooperation with US Authorities. The liaison said Rios Lopez was the 4^th suspect wanted in the United States captured so far this year in Baja California.
