(Fatal injury collision updated)…The single vehicle collision was reported Friday morning

At around 10:30 Friday morning, an SUV pulling a trailer was eastbound on Interstate 8. The driver lost control of the SUV west of Dunaway Road. As the driver attempted to bring the vehicle under control, the SUV and Trailer rolled. The 9 occupants of the SUV were all ejected from the vehicle. The California Highway Patrol says none of the occupants were properly restrained. The driver of the SUV, 43-year-old Adelino Anjos and 31-year-old Cristina Fassett, both from Las Vegas, Nevada, suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced at the scene. The 7 children, ages 1-12 years, were transported to various hospitals. At last report, all the children are recuperating from their injuries, and all are expected to survive. The children were also from Las Vegas. The California Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the incident.
