(Flash Flood Watch Through Tuesday)…. It was issued by the National Weather Service.
They had anticipated the storm would begin building over Imperial County Sunday. Cloud activity was a little late, but it finally began Monday morning. The Weather Service says a strong Pacific low pressure system developing a few hundred miles southwest of San Diego will begin to circulate significant, if not excessive amounts of tropical moisture into the region Monday and Monday night. The National Weather Service says general rainfall with thunderstorms have the potential to generate periods of excessive rain. Early estimates could reach over 2 inches of rain. They expect the skies to begin clearing on Tuesday, but more storm activity will still be possible. The Flash Flood Watch issued will remain in effect through Tuesday evening
