(Social Services to purchase a Mobile Office)…They received the go-ahead from the County Board of Supervisors.
At this week’s meeting, the Supervisors approved the idea. The Department will purchase the mobile office to travel around the County to the various communities were all residents do not have access to what the Department of Social Services has to offer. The unit will cost no more than $250,000. It will be used on a regular basis to inform residents of the Affordable Care Act and the health benefits offered. It will also be available to assist communities in times of emergencies. The funds to pay for the mobile office will come from the Affordable Care Act Allocation.
