(Man attacked in a restroom)….El Centro Police received the call at 5:45 Sunday evening.
Commander Robert Sawyer says the call was from Pioneers Memorial Hospital. They told police they were treating a victim of a stabbing.. Officers drove to PMH to interview the victim, a 55-year-old male, resident of Brawley. The man told police he was in a restroom in the 600 block of State in El Centro, when he was stabbed by an unknown individual. The victim told police he fell to the ground after being stabbed and the suspect punched him in the face several times before fleeing the scene. Sawyer says the victim was treated for what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries. The Commander says anyone with any information regarding the attack should contact the El Centro Police Investigations Division. He said tipsters can remain anonymous.
