(Supervisors short-handed this week)…That means they could not act on anything that required a four-fifths majority vote.
District one Supervisor John Renison and District four Supervisor, and Board Chairman, Ryan Kelley were out of town and not able to attend this weeks Board Meeting. The three remaining supervisors began the meeting by eliminating items that required spending money. That included paying for the cost of the Veteran’s Service Office relocation Monday. They could not reimburse United Desert Gateway for the recent Plank Road Centennial Celebration, and they could not approve funding to repair the roof at 450 West Aten Road. Unless a special meeting is called, those issues will have to wait two weeks before they are discussed. The Board of Supervisors does not meet next week.
