|Two Victims In El Centro Assault|

El Centro Police investigators are trying to sort through an apparent assault Monday night that resulted in two victims being treated for injuries.
El Centro Police Commander Jeff Maason said that police rsponded to the 700 block of Woodward Avenue to investigate a 9-1-1 call received at about 8:30 p.m. Monday evening. Officers found two victims , a 39-year old man with several stab wounds to his upper torso and a 49-year old man with bruises to his body as if he had been in a fight. Both men were transported to the hospital for treatment and later released. Investigating officers received conflicting statements from the victims and from several witnesses making the investigation difficult. Mason said that there is no suspect information other than three unidentified males. The investigation is continuing.
