(Stadium Super Trucks return to birth place)….It is now Speed Energy Stadium Super Truck Series. The Super Truck Stadium Series originally began years ago with Mickey Thompson Racing at the Coliseum in Los Angeles. When Thompson passed away, the Series ended. It has been reinvigorated by Bobby Gordon and Speed Energy Drink. The Super Trucks returned to the Coliseum over the weekend. The main event was ironically won by Gordon. A miscue by Imperial Valley’s Justin Lofton sent him from third to fifth place in the event. Lofton was driving the Number 6 Solar City Super Truck. The next stop for the Speed Energy Stadium Super Trucks will be May 4th. The trucks will be racing at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, the home of the San Diego Chargers. Lofton has committed to racing all 12 races in the inaugural season of the Speed Energy Stadium Super Truck Series.
