(Annette Buttner case continued, again)…Her latest court appearance was late last week.

Even though Buttner had asked to be present at future court appearances, she did not show up in person. She reported telephonically. This created a problem because she could not converse with her attorney in private. The judge complained the trial was way behind schedule, before he granted one more extension. He suggested Buttner and her attorney make arrangements to be present at the next court date set for June 9. Buttner, a member of the Imperial County Board of Education, is charged with two counts of perjury, one count of filing a false declaration of candidacy and one count of grand theft.
