(IVC is hosting Capital Readiness 2013)….It is one of 11 such events being presented at rural Community Colleges around the state.

California Community Colleges Chancellor Brice Harris says his office entered into a partnership with the US Department of Agriculture Rural Development to increase access to training and higher education for rural citizens, support and enhance the agricultural industry and strengthen the state’s rural economy. Capital Readiness is part of that partnership. It will be presented at Imperial Valley College Wednesday April 10th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Registration will be at 1:30 pm. The event will be in room 2734, the Amphitheatre. Parking permits will be available from Campus Police. Participants will meet and learn from the experts what money and programs are available to assist rural businesses to expand and become more profitable. Participants include Rabobank, Community Valley Bank, Farm Bureau, Farm Credit Services Southwest , The Business and Entrepreneurship Center, SBDC, IVEDC and other resource partners. The purpose is to increase revenue, create jobs, and put capital back into the Imperial Valley. The event is free.
