A 61-year old man was arrested Wednesday morning after nearly $250,000 worth of drugs were found in hIs car.

A Border Patrol K-9 team at the Highway 86 checkpoint near Salton City alerted to the vehicle. After a search ,  83.k5 pounds of methamphetamine , 1.65 pounds of fentanyl , and 1.5 pounds of heroin were found in the car’s gas tank. The driver , a U. S. citizen , was arrested and turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
