(Fire destroys mobile homes)....They were the homes of several farmworker families.

The mobile homes were located near Thermal, north of the Salton Sea. The Riverside County Fire Department says the mobile homes were destroyed, but no injuries were reported. In total, five mobile homes and two other structures were destroyed by the fire, displacing 19 adults and 11 children. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
