Governor Gavin Newsom has appointed James Hill Warden of the California Institution for Men.

Hill has been Acting Warden at the Chino facility since 2021. Prior to that he held several positions at Centinela State Prison, including Chief Deputy Warden, Associate Warden and Correctional Captain. Hill also served as Associate Warden at Calipatria State Prison.
