Imperial Irrigation District crews have been working nonstop to restore electricity to the community of North Shore.

A Monday night storm caused significant damage knocking down 33 power poles in North Shore. As crews worked to restore power a second storm on Tuesday caused even more damage to the utility's infrastructure. More than 100 power poles were downed as a result of the one-two punch. As of late Wednesday night there are still 555 customers without power. An estimated 80 personnel are working around the clock in the restoration efforts. Twelve line construction crews are involved.
