(County recovering from storm)... The storm hit Tuesday afternoon and lasted into the night.

Wind gusts over 39 miles per hour were reported throughout the county. An estimated 1.5 inches of rain was recorded in the north end of the valley. More than an inch of rain fell on Calipatria and Holtville. Power outages were reported around the county. The Imperial Irrigation District says power has been restored to more than 192 customers, including Holtville. They say crews are still working to restore power to 115 customers in Calipatria, due t5o a downed pole. Road closures include Evan Hewes Highway, from Forrester to Austin Roads due to storm damage to utility poles. Road closures due to flooding were reported at Highway 78, from Ogilby to Palo Verde, Ogilby Road from Interstate 8 to Blythe. Sinclair to Blair and West Cloe Road to Dogwood. IID crews are also still working to restore power in the North Shore area hit by a storm that swept through Monday.
