U. S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) released a March Monthly Update.

According to CBP, in March 2024, the U.S. Border Patrol recorded 137,480 encounters between ports of entry along the southwest border. That's a 45 percent drop from December 2023 and 16 percent lower than March of 2023. While the number of Border Patrol encounters dropped, nationwide, fentanyl seizures increased by over 16 percent and heroin seizures jumped nearly 20 percent.
