(16th Annual Imperial Valley Law Enforcement ceremony)....It is scheduled for May 3rd.

It will be held at the Courthouse on Main Street in El Centro. There will be a family and VIP reception before the ceremony begins. The organizing committee says 49 Law Enforcement Officers who died in the line of duty will be honored. The officers will be from Federal, state, county and city agencies in Imperial County. Law Enforcement agencies will, again, participate in the ceremony. The ceremony will honor all fallen officers from every agency throughout the History of Imperial County. The event will begin with a motorcade of law enforcement vehicles along with the full honors ceremony. Guest speakers will take turns reading the names of each fallen officer. There will be a 21 gun salute. There will be a flag folding ceremony, taps and amazing Grace, and a moment of silence where glow sticks will be lit to represent a candlelight vigil. The public is encouraged to attend Friday, May 3rd beginning at 7 pm
