(NAF Volunteers offer a big assist).....About 20 volunteers from the Naval Air Facility helped clean-up the Wetlands near Imperial

The sailors, led by Petty Officer Second Class Randon Bradfield coordinated with Imperial Irrigation District staff to remove tons of debris from the Wetlands site. Steve Charlton, senior program manager for the IID Water Department said the team of sailors directly reached out to the Imperial Irrigation District, explaining how they enjoy using the Wetlands area for several recreational activities and wanted to help. Bradfield recently told the IID Directors his team was interested in performing community service. He said this kind of thing was kind of a big thing for them. IID Director Karin Eugenio said a substantial amount of trash and debris was cleaned out, and the area now looks a lot better. She thanked everyone involved in the effort.
