An Imperial County jury has returned a guilty verdict against a man who threatened to kill a Sheriff's deputy.

In June of 2023, while being arrested for an outstanding warrant and a residential burglary in Niland, Joshua Nussbaum threatened to kill an Imperial County Sheriff's deputy and his family. Nussbaum was charged and found guilty of one count of Criminal Threats and one count of Threatening a Police Officer. Nussbaum will be sentenced on April 23, 2024 and could face two years in state prison.
