(Brawley City Council approved the rate increase last week)....Republic Services requested the increase to keep up with costs.

The 4% increase affects residential, commercial and industrial customers. Residential rates will increase to $27.27 per month. Commercial customers rates will increase to $198.05. The new rates go into affect with the new year.
