(Veterans Day is Saturday November 11th)....It is, however, being observed Friday.

The County of Imperial Departments were closed Friday, as were the Imperial Irrigation District Business offices. Not all businesses observed Veterans Day Friday. Bank of America and Wells Fargo Banks remained open Friday, but are closed Saturday. The 11th Annual Veterans Day Walk was held Friday morning. Participants walked 8 miles from the City Park in Westmorland to the Elks Lodge in Brawley. Te City of El Centro Veterans Day Ceremony was scheduled for Saturday. The ceremony begins at 11 am in Bucklin Park on South 8th Street.
