(Brawley native crowned Miss Rodeo California)....The 2 day pageant was held earlier this month.

The Pageant was held in San Luis Obispo. When it was all over, 23 Cailee Roper of Brawley was crowned Miss Rodeo California 2024. Her reign begins January 1st. The contestants were judged in Horsemanship, Speech, Personal and horsemanship interviews, test, raffle ticket sales, Photogenic, Personality and Appearance. Cailee was the winner in the written test, personality, appearance, horsemanship, congeniality and speech categories. Roper received a $6,750 educational scholarship, a buckle, a saddle, perpetual chaps, perpetual crown, and various other awards provided by sponsors from the Western Industry. She will end her reign competing in the Miss Rodeo America 2025 Pageant. Cailee said she was overwhelmed, accomplishing this lifelong goal of hers. She said it was an incredible honor to bring the Miss Rodeo California Crown back to Brawley for the first time since 1971.
