The Imperial County Board of Supervisors met last week and took action on several items.

The Board approved a multi-year renewal agreement for Substance Abuse Disorder Services through the 2026-27 fiscal year. The agreement with the Department of Health Care Services will provide services for eligible adolescent and adult beneficiaries for withdrawal management, intensive outpatient treatment, opioid treatment programs, recovery services and other programs. The nearly $40 million price will not impact the General Fund as 100% of the funds are allocated to the County by the Department of Health Care Services.

The Board also approved the Glamis Specific Plan Project following a Public Hearing. The plan as approved will implement the Imperial County objectives for th development of the Glamis area to accommodate recreation supported land uses including retail and services, commercial, motel accommodations, recreational vehicles, mobile home parks and community facilities.

The Board also approved Community Benefit Funds totaling $1,000 to support the Imperial Regional Alliance's 44th Annual Farmworker Appreciation Event.
