(It is Red Ribbon Week)....It is an annual event to remember the legacy of Special Agent Enrique KIKI S. Camarena.

It is alo a week to create awareness of the importance of living drug-free. Camarena joined the US Drug Enforcement Administration in 1974. He was assigned to Mexico and was on the trail of the country's biggest marijuana and cocaine traffickers. In 1985, he was close to unlocking a multi-billion dollar drug pipeline when he was kidnapped and murdered. Each year, thousands of people remember the life and sacrifice of Kiki Camarena and pledge to practice a drug-free lifestyle in his honor. Schools and communities across the nation celebrate Red Ribbon week by wearing red ribbons and hosting drug awareness events.
