(Significant Milestone to be revealed).....It will be at Thursday's Salton Sea Board of Directors meeting.

The meeting will be held at the North Shore Beach and Yacht Club in Mecca, beginning at 10 am. At around 1:30 pm they will recognize a significant milestone in the future North Lake Pilot Demonstration Project at the Salton Sea being reached. Dudek, as project engineers, begins geophysical survey work on the project which will include studying soil, rocks and seismic activity to determine appropriate designs for the future restoration project at the Salton Sea. The vision of the North Lake Pilot Demonstration Project is to build a 156 acre lake with both shallow and deep water habitat. The lake will restore and manage habitat for fish and birds, control dust, provide recreational opportunities, and revitalize the northern end of the Salton Sea, as well as the community of North Shore. The project has received a $19.25 million grant to help cover costs.
