An El Centro man was arrested after threatening an Uber driver.

The ride share driver called police at about 11:39 p.m. Monday and reported that his passenger threatened him with a knife when the passenger became upset that the driver would not take him to a different location. The passenger fled the area on foot, but police were able to locate him hiding under a car in the 700 block of Heil Street. The 50-year-old suspect was arrested and booked into Imperial County Jail on charges of Brandishing a Weapon. The ride share driver was not injured.
