The Central Union High School Class of 1963 is holding a reunion this weekend.

As part of the fun, the class has decided to relive high school days by Cruisin' Main Thursday evening.  Legend has it the '60's cruising in the Valley encompassed a circuitous route that ran from Foster Freeze on 4th Street to Bakers Burgers on Imperial Avenue. Both landmarks are now gone. Much like in the movie American Graffiti, the cruising ritual brought local teens together for a chance to get better acquainted. Rember, gas was about 20 cents a gallon and there wasn't a whole lot of other excitement in the Valley. The Class of '63 says they will meet in the 500 block of State Street at 6:30 and then start cruising at about 7. With gas at about $6 a gallon and the classmates now septuagenarians, don't expect the cruise to run too late.
